Decking Seminars Take To The Road For Architects, Landscape Designers, And Deck Installers In 2009

American Softwoods, in conjunction with the Timber Decking Association, is to hold its fifth annual series of free one-day decking seminars at three UK venues during January and March 2009.
These seminars are aimed at architects, landscape designers, deck installers, timber merchants and builders. They will focus on all the practical aspects of decking, including design, site considerations, building regulations and timber treatment.
- January 15 – St. Peter Port, GUERNSEY
- January 24 – Barnwood, GLOUCESTER
- March 27 – London Road, IPSWICH
Presenters at the seminars will be Eddie Pearce, European Marketing Director, American Softwoods; Colin Young, Managing Director, Deckor Timber and deck maintenance expert Thomas Rathbone.
European marketing director of American Softwoods Eddie Pearce said: “It is essential that everyone involved in the industry, especially newcomers, are aware of the quality standards relating to timber deck design and the use and performance of timber outdoors.”
