American Softwoods will be showcasing a range of softwoods from the USA, including Douglas Fir, Southern Pine and Western Hemlock at this year’s Woodworking Ireland exhibition.
The show is taking place at the National Show Centre, Cloghran, Co. Dublin from September 6th to 8th and visitors to the American Softwoods stand (stand number 41) can obtain valuable information about the properties and sustainability of these versatile softwoods.
Eddie Pearce, European marketing director for American Softwoods said “Woodworking Ireland is an important event in the timber industry calendar and provides a great opportunity to demonstrate the benefits of using American softwoods for both internal and external projects.”
American softwoods are harvested from sustainable forests in the USA. The success of forestry management and conservation in the USA means that forested land is now greater than it was 75 years ago. Forests occupy an area equal in size to Germany and France combined. More than 4.5 million trees are planted every day.
